On the day of homage to the Architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, we can attend another excellent concert by Rodrigo Leão, at Teatro Tivoli BBVA.
The concert by Rodrigo Leão, “Os Portugueses” (Homage to the Architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles) was held at Tivoli, which marks the end of the celebrations of the Architect’s 100th birthday.
Organized by the Ad Hoc Commission, with the collaboration of the Lisbon City Council, EGEAC, and UGURU and featured a musical selection by Rodrigo Leão, which included some instrumentals composed for the television series by Joana Pontes and António Barreto “Portugal, a Social Portrait ”, but also themes from Madredeus.
The concert also featured a premiere of “Bairro das Estacas”, a theme composed by Rodrigo Leão in honor of Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, a challenge given to him by Paulo Trancoso, the musician also recalled that it was in this neighborhood where he grew up, and where the Architect made an excellent intervention.
Rodrigo Leão had Ana Vieira on stage with him on vocals, Viviena Tupikova on violin, Carlos Tony Gomes on cello, Bruno Silva on the arc viola, Celina Piedade on voice and accordion, and João Eleutério on bass, synthesizer, and percussion.
