Concertos no WC
com nomes emergentes do panorama musical e nomes consagrados da música clássica e jazz
The Parish of Santo António, located in the heart of Lisbon, has carried out a cultural promotion with diverse and innovative initiatives, contributing to the cultural promotion and training of the public in the Parish and in the city.
This very special cycle of music, in an unusual and alternative space, will have 10 musicians in 10 concerts for 10 spectators throughout the year, with the presentation of an eclectic and high-quality musical repertoire, in an innovative and “out of the box” initiative.
Emerging names from the Portuguese music scene will be invited, as well as established names in classical and jazz music, so this is also an initiative that aims to support and promote music artists.
The outstanding feature of this innovative cycle is the location chosen for these concerts: the former public WC in Jardim Camilo Castelo Branco. This will be the audience stage for these intimate concerts, with strong interaction between the audience and the musician.
The first concert of these Concerts in the WC will be on the 25th of March at 10 pm, with the harpsichordist Joana Bagulho.
Confirmed musicians:
Joana Bagulho (harpsichord) | Mário Laginha (piano) | Alexandre Frazão (drums) | João Barradas (accordion) | Mário Pacheco (Portuguese guitar)
