Created almost 22 years ago, the Baby Concerts, produced by the company Musicalmente, had an intense agenda for this year, but everything was canceled, forcing us to rethink this proposal for early childhood. From May 31 to July, five concerts will be broadcast from Pousos, in Leiria, in a space prepared to take the home of subscribers live shows with special guests.
The team developed a format that maintains the original principles of the project, adding ingredients to take the stage to the babies’ home, bring babies to the room where the interpreters are and intensify and explore other ways to bring the audience closer to the interpreters.
Musicians and performers will be touched by photographs of old concerts and by images and videos sent by their parents in real time, in order to experience and have a little bit of the experience at home.
The Baby Concerts at Home program kicks off on May 31, at www.concertosparabebes.com, with harpist Ana Castanhito as a guest soloist. The theme will be “Dances with harp”.
Luísa Sobral participates in the June 14th concert, entitled “Embalos da Luísa”. Still in June, on the 21st, there is bass and electronic music with Hugo Correia in “O virtuous baby”, and on the 28th the highlight will be Rodrigo Carreira and his horn, in “Dos campos ao pinhal”.
To close this first season at home, the Concerts for Babies will present on July 12 “Sordunas and other sweets”, with the bassoon and contra-bassoon by Pedro Pereira and Gonçalo Pereira.
