Conductor José Eduardo Gomes wins European Union Conducting Competition

The Portuguese conductor won the first prize of this international orchestra conductor competition, was released by the organization on its website.

Competition held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the conductor won not only the first prize but also the trophy “Best Beethoven interpretation”, this was the second time the competition was held, which had about 300 conductors for several rounds.

At this time, the conductor of the Center Classical Orchestra, FEUP Classical Orchestra and the Porto Opera Circle Choir, as you can see on his arway page, had already been awarded the 2nd Prize in the Young Musicians Award, in the category of Orchestra Conductor, having also obtained the Orchestra Prize.
