The Scientific Congress dedicated to Francisco Rodrigues Lobo takes place from September 16th to 17th, at Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, and is jointly organized by the Leiria City Council and the Polytechnic of Leiria, with the scientific coordination of Professor Dr. Carlos André.
With online transmission through the municipality’s Facebook, on the 16th, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and on the 17th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, the congress brings together experts from several universities in the country and also from Brazil and Macau and it is dedicated not only to the themes privileged by the poet from Leiria and to the various academic approaches, but also highlights the possible artistic interactions based on the work of Rodrigues Lobo.
On September 17th, the premiere of the film “Lobo” is scheduled, created and produced by the group Te ATO and which had the special participation of children and young people from school theater clubs in Leiria.
The year 2021 is dedicated to Francisco Rodrigues Lobo and has been marked by several initiatives in the municipality, including activities for children and young people, concerts, exhibitions, cinema, photography, literature and scripts, scheduled until the end of the year.
