Eucharistic Congress of 2024 based in Ecuador

The election of Ecuador was approved by Pope Francis to host the 53rd Eucharistic Congress to be held in 2024.

The Vatican in a statement announced that Ecuador was chosen at the end of the “150th anniversary of the country’s Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus“.

It can be read in the press release released, “In this ecclesial meeting, the fruitfulness of the Eucharist for evangelization and the renewal of faith in the Latin American continent will be manifested.”

The next International Eucharistic Congress, for which preparations are still taking place, will take place from September 5th to 12th, in Budapest, where the Pope should be present, in this which is a great public manifestation of the Church reinforcing the role of the Eucharist in the life of Christians and in ecclesial practice.
