A Confederação Sul-Americana de Futebol (CONMEBOL) vai consultar os seus peritos para decidir se aplica a norma da FIFA que autoriza temporariamente cinco substituições, para proteção dos jogadores devido à pandemia da covid-19.
Following the agreement of the International Board (IFAB), and with a view to protecting players due to the covid-19 pandemic, FIFA announced on Friday that football teams will be able to make five substitutions per game in three moments.
This one-off and temporary change will take effect immediately and will be applied to competitions that are expected to be completed by December 31, 2020, whether those will be resumed or started in the meantime.
However, FIFA clarified that the measured application is at the discretion of the organization of competitions, federations or leagues, as well as the use of the video referee.
