Yesterday, another edition of “Conta-me Uma Canção” (“Tell Me a Song”) began at Maria Matos, and it couldn’t have started better. Márcia and Sérgio Godinho revealed stories, revealed secrets and sang some of their fantastic songs.
The “Conta-me Uma Canção” concept returns in January and February for its third “live” edition after the excellent editions of 2023 and 2024.
Teatro Maria Matos welcomes the challenge launched to six national artists to present their vision on what can be considered the most valuable asset of popular music, the song.
Three meetings with duos formed by essential names in national music, whether as composers or performers.
In addition to the stories of the chosen songs, the cross-versions, and a necessarily intimate conversation between two creators, each couple will also share with the audience a version of a song that was not their own, “one of those” that they would have liked to have composed.
On stage, Márcia and Sérgio Godinho were joined by Filipe Cunha Monteiro and Nuno Rafael, for a night full of music and stories, mixed with many moments of good humour and laughter, in a room full of fans and friends who lived each song and history.
