Contemporary Portuguese jewellery presents itself in Amsterdam

The epicentre of design and creativity, the capital of the Netherlands hosts the Sieraad – International Jewellery Art Fair, from 9 to 11 November. Nine national designers are present at one of Europe’s leading contemporary jewellery events.

Focused on contemporary jewellery and author design, SIERAAD – International Jewellery Fair brings together in Amsterdam around 160 designers from more than 40 countries. From Portugal, nine young designers are flying in search of affirmation in the European market, which will be the largest participation of Portuguese jewellery in this event, which is in its 17th edition.

The selection of Portuguese brands present reveals the diversity of concepts that characterize contemporary national jewellery. From the renowned designer Bruno da Rocha, with his exuberant pieces inspired by the darker nature, the debutant Diogo Dalloz, a Brazilian who combines the technique of Portuguese jewellery with the sensuality of the Carioca design, are many and different proposals on display at Sieraad.

If for Sopro, branded by Andreia Lima, it will no longer be a debut, having participated in the last edition, this will be the first time Ana Bragança, Ana João, Cecília Ribeiro, Joana Santos, Mater Jewellery Tales and Telma Da give the know their collections at the Dutch fair.

According to Fátima Santos, Secretary General of AORP, “Sieraad is a reflection of the change in the world of jewellery. The trend towards diversification of concepts and approaches creates the need for specialized spaces and events for different segments and audiences. This is undoubtedly one of the meeting points of the jewellery of the author in Europe and therefore an opportunity for our creators to make contacts and to integrate the network of the contemporary international jewellery “.
