Called up for the 2022 World Cup access play-off

Fernando Santos announced, this Thursday, the 25-man squad for the qualifying play-offs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The National Team will face Turkey, at Estádio do Dragão, on March 24. In case of victory, the Portuguese team will face on March 29, at the same Estádio do Dragão, the winner of the match between Italy and Montenegro. Both matches are scheduled to start at 19:45.

Here is the list of players chosen by the National Coach:

Goalkeeper – Anthony Lopes (Olympique Lyon), Diogo Costa (FC Porto) and Rui Patrício (AS Roma);

Defenders – Cédric Soares (Arsenal FC), João Cancelo (Manchester City), Diogo Dalot (Manchester United), Gonçalo Inácio (Sporting CP), José Fonte (Lille OSC), Pepe (FC Porto), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Raphael Warrior (Borussia Dortmund)

Midfielders – Danilo Pereira (PSG), Matheus Nunes (Sporting CP), William Carvalho (Real Betis), Rúben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers FC), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), João Moutinho (Wolverhampton Wanderers FC), Otávio Monteiro (FC Porto ), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

Forwards – João Félix (Atlético Madrid), André Silva (RB Leipzig), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Diogo Jota (Liverpool FC), Gonçalo Guedes (Valencia) and Rafael Leão (AC Milan).
