Brazil won the trophy for the new time in its history, but it was necessary to sweat to keep the cup.
[dropcap type=”background”]B[/dropcap]razil managed to win over Peru but had to sweat a lot to celebrate. With the Maracanã crowd to support, Brazil won the Copa America winner by defeating Peru, 3-1.
The Tite team was better and with 15 minutes of the game already win by 1-0, with Everton’s goal after a cross from Gabriel Jesus.
Peru responded and reduced in the first part, after lack of Thiago Silva in the great Brazilian area and Guerrero did not lose, and returned the equality whit the penalty.
But the Peruvian joy lasted little, even at the end of the first part, Gabriel Jesus, put Brazil again in freight.
Brazil had to suffer in the second half to win the ninth Copa America. And still had to play with 10 because Gabriel Jesus was expelled by the accumulation of yellow, leaving the field in tears.
Brazil, with 10 and retired, Tite launched Éder Militão to the place of Coutinho with orders to defend, to defend, to defend until the end. But there was an idea to it – the misdirected ball was turned into a cross towards Everton, who was waiting for it in the box.
Richarlison scored and it was clear that the trophy would go home with the final result of 3-1.
