Lisbon has yet another residential development in the heart of the city. This is Liberdade Premium Apartments, developed by Coporgest – Companhia Portuguesa de Gestão e Desenvolvimento Imobiliário, SA, and which represented a total investment of 7.7 million euros.
Located next to Avenida da Liberdade, at the intersection of Rua Rodrigues Sampaio and Rua de Santa Marta, the project aims to be an ex-libris in the city’s residential market. Comprising 10 apartments, from T1 to T4 duplex, between 76 m2 and 227 m2 (not including outdoor spaces) and a store, Liberdade Premium Apartments has a gross building area of 2,165 m2.
Of the 10 housing units, eight will be leased and two for sale. In terms of compartmentalization, from the 1st to the 4th floor, two apartments were built on each floor, one T1 and one T2, on the 5th floor, an apartment of type T3 was built, and on the 6th and 7th floor a T4 duplex apartment with terraces and private pool.
From an architectural point of view, the project sought to create a contemporary building in which its design and covering materials interconnected the organic mesh of the old city (Rua de Santa Marta) with the orthogonal mesh (on the Avenida da Liberdade plan) . The option of the balconies, as well as the flamed marble cladding (ventilated system) combined with the presence of a metallic cladding in bronze tone, allowed the creation of a residential building well framed in the area.
In terms of finishes, the apartments were designed to create maximum comfort for its residents. Some details stand out, such as the Sucupira Brasileira natural wood floor, sanitary facilities covered with natural Estremoz stone, high quality thermal and acoustic insulation, kitchens equipped with SMEG appliances and central ventilation system for automatic air renewal, among many other details of excellence.
“The architectural image of the building is, in our view, an asset for the surrounding area, at the same time that the housing fractions respect current requirements, with high quality standards”, says Sérgio Ferreira, president of Coporgest.
The building was designed from the ground up for one of the best known vacant lots in the city center at the end of the 20th century, located in the parish of Santo António (former parish of Coração de Jesus). The plot of the original building, long since demolished, had an area of 226.29 m2. Of the 11 floors that make up the project, three are below ground, with access to the 15 parking spaces made by mechanical means (elevator).
The works of Liberdade Premium Apartments started in November 2017, after the acquisition of the lot by Coporgest four months earlier, having been completed in December. The project is now in the commercialization phase….
