It can be read, in the communiqué of the Ministry of Internal Administration in a communiqué, “The joint order prohibits the disembarkation and licenses for the land of passengers and crews of cruise ships in national ports, except for national citizens, who hold a residence permit in Portugal. or in exceptional cases related to a health situation, with the authorization of the health authority “.
The joint order of the ministers of Internal Administration, Eduardo Cabrita, and of Health, Marta Temido, and also by the Assistant Secretary of State and Communications, Alberto Souto de Miranda entered into force today and will remain in force until April 9, and maybe extended.
Ships can only dock for supply and maintenance, says the document, which justifies the measure with “international experience demonstrating the high risk resulting from the disembarkation of passengers and crew from cruise ships“.
