On October 4th, the Portuguese rock band Cörte-Real returns with “Rasgas-me as Chagas”, the second song presented this year, towards the release of their second original album scheduled for the first half of 2025.
Available on all digital platforms, this new track promises to continue surprising fans with its emotional and raw intensity.
According to António Côrte-Real, guitarist and founder of the band, “Rasgas-me as Chagas” is “a song about vulnerability and pain, but also the process of healing and resilience”. With the unmistakable voice of Bruno Celta, and the solid rhythmic foundation of Nuno C. and Sebastião Santos, the single presents a new lyrical depth, with the weight of Cörte-Real’s sound going beyond what the band has accustomed us to.
This release marks another step in the journey the band began with the album XXV, released in 2020, to celebrate António Côrte-Real’s 25-year career as a guitarist for UHF. The current lineup, composed of Bruno Celta (vocals and guitar), Sebastião Santos (drums), Nuno C. (bass), and António Côrte-Real (guitar), continues to innovate in the national rock scene, while maintaining the authenticity that has always characterized them.
With “Rasgas-me as Chagas”, Cörte-Real reaffirms their commitment to taking Portuguese rock to new heights, betting on a distinctive sound without compromising its essence. The upcoming album promises to be another significant step in the band’s evolution.
