Counting Crows announces tour and stops in Lisbon
Coliseu dos Recreios on October 17th
Multi-platinum selling band Counting Crows has just announced The Complete Sweets! Tour, which will stop in Lisbon at the Coliseu dos Recreios on October 17th.
This tour showcases the GRAMMY and OSCAR-nominated band’s legendary live show, delivering the timeless storytelling, raw emotion and rich melodies that have defined the band over three decades.
Tickets will be available on March 14th at 10 am, at the usual locations and at everythingisnew.pt.
Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets! marks the band’s first full-length album since 2021’s critically acclaimed Butter Miracle: Suite One. Contrasting intimate storytelling with grandiose themes, the new album promises to deliver the striking melodies and lyrical depth that have made the Counting Crows one of the most beloved bands of the past three decades.
The album’s first single, “Spaceman In Tulsa,” ushers in this new era with an engaging narrative and vibrant sound. As the band’s first new music in nearly five years, the song perfectly blends Counting Crows’ signature sound with a fresh, modern energy. “‘Spaceman In Tulsa’ is about metamorphosis—about how music deconstructs who we were and transforms us into something new. It’s about broken lives becoming something better,” said Adam Duritz.
Since their 1993 debut album, August and Everything After, Counting Crows have sold more than 20 million records, establishing themselves as one of rock’s most respected touring bands. His repertoire includes iconic albums such as Recovering the Satellites, Hard Candy and Somewhere Under Wonderland. In 2004, they received an Oscar nomination for “Accidentally in Love”, a song included on the Shrek 2 soundtrack. In 2021, they released Butter Miracle: Suite One, which received critical acclaim and was featured on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” list, ranking 8th. Continuing to shape alternative rock with their distinctive sound and deeply emotional lyrics, Counting Crows remains one of the most influential bands of their generation.
