Courtney Marie Andrews for the first time in Portugal live in Porto and Lisbon
We have long awaited this news: the debut of American singer/songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews in our country. The month will be September. The cities are Porto and Lisbon. September 15 and 17 respectively.
The tour, which will be held in several European countries, brings Courtney Marie Andrews on a solo record where guitar and piano will be the ideal companions/companies for their themes that both drink folk and country inspiration.
Speaking of country, the last album May Your Kindness Remain (already of the last year but that will be the base of the concerts), has even won the prize of best international album in the Americana UK Awards.
In May Your Kindness Remain, Courtney Marie Andrews further developed all of her writing and composition, as well as resorting to more elaborate orchestrations and even gospel choirs to give us her very particular vision of the world and her music.
Topics like May Your Kindness Remain, Rough Around the Edges, Border, Took You Up and Kindness of Strangers are the perfect example of Courtney Marie Andrews’ rich musical universe.
Courtney Marie Andrews’ first album to get media attention outside the US was actually the predecessor of May Your Kindness Remain, Honest Life. Part of that attention was due to the success of airplay and digital platforms on topics such as Irene, How Quickly Your Heart Mends and Table for One.
Courtney Marie Andrews began her solo career in 2008 with Urban Myths, followed by For No One I Knew (2010), No One’s Slate is Clean (2011), On My Page (2013), Honest Life (2013) and May Your Kindness Remain (2018). Part of its history is also the fact that it has collaborated as music and guest singer of Damien Jurado our Ryan Adams.
