Custódio is the new coach of Sporting de Braga. Rúben Amorim goes for Sporting CP

The former Portuguese international, 36, will be Sporting Braga’s third coach in a season, succeeding Rúben Amorim, who will be coaching Sporting, and Ricardo Sá Pinto, who started it.

Custódio took over the technical command of the team’s under-17 team this season after, in the previous two years, he was assistant in team B, so it will be his debut as head coach of a senior team and the I Liga.

Sporting de Braga plays with Portimonense on Friday, at 8:30 p.m, on the 24th round of the I Liga.

Sporting’s new coach, Rúben Amorim, has only two months of experience in the First League of football, but won a League Cup and won the three big ones five times in a month for Braga.

The new coach, who arrived in Braga to guide team B in September 2019 and, at the end of December, was promoted to the main team to replace Ricardo Sá Pinto, leaves Sporting de Braga in third place in the championship.
