Last Saturday, July 18th, D.A.M.A announced another theme that will be part of the band’s next long-term record, which has a release date scheduled for the last quarter of 2020.
After the song “ELA” (II – florescer), the Lisbon collective now proposes a more introspective record with “A Quarentena Matou-nos” (IV – desapegar), a testimony about the wear and tear caused by the routine derived from this new context, which it is reflected in the various areas of society and also in human relations, with their respective consequences, at the individual and collective level.
Since January 10, 2020, after about a year and a half without releasing new music, D.A.M.A started releasing one video per month (each corresponding to a song, until the release of the new album).
However, the pandemic crisis has forced the world, people and the cultural industry in particular, to adapt to new circumstances. For this very reason, D.A.M.A changed the regularity of the launch of the new themes of the album until its edition, scheduled for the last quarter of 2020, without however releasing new features.
The themes/videos that will be part of the new work are associated with a verb that, consequently, corresponds to a chapter. All the songs are thus connected, lyrically and visually, thus unifying the final work that will be the new album.
