d4vd desvenda nova era com o single “Where’d It Go Wrong?”

Song is now available on all digital platforms

The 19-year-old d4vd artist releases a new exciting single, “Where’d It Go Wrong?” The release marks the beginning of a new era for this innovative musician.

“Where’d it go wrong?”, from d4vd, has a strong impact thanks to a brutally honest approach to the fragile nature of love and the deep confusion that arises when everything falls apart. The song is loaded with emotional turbulence, capturing the confusing consequences of realizing that something that previously seemed perfect has completely collapsed.

Musically, the theme mixes alternative influences, indie and R&B, with a soft but scary instrumentation that reflects the reflective tone of the song. The voice of d4vd delivers each verse with raw intensity, capturing the complexity of the emotions at play. The resulting sound is minimalist and powerful, allowing the emotional weight of the lyrics to resonate with the listener.

The song was created by d4vd using only BandLab and his iPhone, in the closet of his childhood home in Houston. “Where’d It Go Wrong?” shares its origins with many of d4vd’s hits, including “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me” – both have surpassed a billion streams.

“I spent the last year recording in Los Angeles studios, doing sessions with big producers and travelling to write, but for ‘Where’d It Go Wrong?’, I sat at my house in Houston and recorded at Bandlab, something I haven’t done much lately,” shares d4vd. “It brought me back to my element of how I started making music. This is one of my favorite songs I did a long time ago and it reminded me why I always loved making music on my own.”

This song was released just after a mesmerizing performance at The Game Awards 2024, which took place on December 12 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles and was broadcast on dozens of platforms. d4vd sang “Remember Me” in a medley alongside artists like Twenty One Pilots and Royal & The Serpent, in celebration of Netflix’s “Arcane” series.

d4vd has released a steady string of singles throughout the year, including the loosely and beautifully crafted love song “There Goes My Baby”, the dynamic “Remember Me” from Netflix’s Emmy-nominated “Arcane”, “Feel It (From The Original Series Invincible)” who made the Billboard Hot 100 and “My House Is Not A Home”, an alternative and moving ballad about loneliness. The songs show what is to come in 2025, as d4vd gains momentum towards its long-awaited debut album.
