- Since 2021, the Dacia Sandero has been the favourite car of Portuguese private customers and this year it was, for the first time, the best-selling model in the country, in absolute terms.
- With 60% of sales, the Stepway version was chosen by national customers.
- The ECO-G 100 Bi-Fuel engine was the option of 51% of Sandero customers, including the Stepway version.
A sales phenomenon, the Stepway version is the Portuguese’s favourite.
With everything essential (and there is no small amount of it), without artifice and a truly unbeatable quality/price ratio, the Dacia Sandero gains another predicate: a genuine sales phenomenon! Since 2021, it has been the favorite car of Portuguese private customers, but in 2024, it was – for the first time! – the best-selling model in the country, in absolute terms, with 7,660 units sold, corresponding to a market share of 3.21%.
This is a historic result, also for Dacia, which has never before had a model leading the absolute sales table and this in a market supported mainly by fleet customers.
Among private customers, it should be noted that one in every 10 cars sold was the Sandero model, with the Duster being the second preferred by the Portuguese.
With 60% of sales, the Stepway version was chosen by customers, while the ECO-G 100 Bi-Fuel engine was the option of 51% of Portuguese people. Running on both gasoline and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), an engine stands out for its reduced usage costs, extraordinary autonomy, reliability and safety, but also for its reduced CO₂ emissions. In other words, a sustainable and economical option.
In the Dacia range, the Sandero model (Stepway version included) represented 46.4% of the brand’s total sales in Portugal. The Stepway version was worth 58.5% of the model’s sales, 65.5% of which were equipped with the ECO-G 100 Bi-Fuel engine.
The Sandero is one of Dacia’s most iconic models. With a modern design, one of the best spaces in the segment (boot capacity included) and a surprising list of technological and safety equipment, the commercial success of the Dacia Sandero is justified by meeting the real needs of its owners and by its unbeatable relationship quality/price.
The Dacia Sandero starts at €13,200 and is available with four engines: SCe 75, TCe 90, TCe 90 CVT and ECO-G 100 Bi-Fuel.
