The new album INSPIRAR is released on May 23rd by Galileo Music.
After the release of the single “PULSAR”, the first sample related to the new album INSPIRAR, which will be released on May 23rd, Danças Ocultas unveils the second single “PEDRA DO SOL”, now available on digital platforms.
“PEDRA DO SOL” is the title inspired by a precious stone known for its sparkling shine, reminiscent of the sun’s rays. This song reflects that same light, with a sound that goes from the deep bass of bass to the brilliant highs of the melody. Just like the stone it is named after, music transmits energy, joy and a positive vibration, becoming a source of inspiration and well-being for those who listen to it.
For their tenth album, INSPIRAR, the group openly embraced the concept of creating time, light and breath, with the intention of shaping a raw but expressive music. There was something very organic about this process, as if each piece was being chiselled and sculpted until only the essentials remained.
Danças Ocultas are among the most innovative and exciting representatives of contemporary Portuguese music. The rebellious, lively and, at times, eccentric presence of its instruments (diatonic accordion – hurdy-gurdy) creates a music that moves from eternally calm and soothing registers to more dancing or lulling sounds accompanied by a seductive visual effect with its bellows that seem to never stop opening. With an aesthetic marked by subtlety, silence and the search for essence, Danças Ocultas creates instrumental music that crosses borders — geographical, stylistic and emotional.
Danças Ocultas will be on tour between April and July, with the following dates:
