After the release of the single “PULSAR”, the first sample from the new album INSPIRAR, by DANÇAS OCULTAS, which will be released on May 23, the collective now unveils another song: “PEDRA DO SOL”.
“PEDRA DO SOL” is the title inspired by a precious stone known for its sparkling shine, reminiscent of the sun’s rays. This song reflects that same light, with a sound that goes from the deep bass of the bass to the brilliant highs of the melody. Just like the stone that gives it its name, the song transmits energy, joy and a positive vibe, becoming a source of inspiration and well-being for those who listen to it.
For their tenth album, INSPIRAR, the group openly embraced the concept of creating time, light and breath, with the intention of shaping a raw but expressive music. There was something very organic about this process – as if each piece was being chiseled and sculpted until only the essential remained.

Danças Ocultas are among the most innovative and exciting representatives of contemporary Portuguese music. The rebellious, lively and, at times, eccentric presence of their instruments (Diatonic Accordion – Concertina) draws a music that moves from eternally calm and soothing registers to more danceable or lulling sounds accompanied by a seductive visual effect with their bellows that seem to never stop opening. With an aesthetic marked by subtlety, silence and the search for essence, Danças Ocultas creates instrumental music that crosses borders — geographical, stylistic and emotional.
