Dancer Martinho Santos wins 1st place at Tanzolymp festival
The dancer Martinho Santos won the 1st place in the category of solos, in the contest of the international festival Tanzolymp 2019, that took place in Berlin, Germany, today announced the School of Dance of the National Conservatory (EDCN) in Lisbon.
According to EDCN production source, 12-year-old Martinho Santos won the soil category of the second tier of the festival, which took place from February 14 to 18 in Berlin.
Tanzolymp is an international dance competition for young people from public and private schools, held annually in Berlin, and is divided into six categories: Classical and Neoclassical dance, Modern / Contemporary dance, Folklore, Pop Jazz and Pattaya.
The festival is held under the theme “Dance as a global language” and, in addition to the competition, organizes master classes and seminars.
EDCN is an integrated vocational arts school that provides professional training in the areas of classical and contemporary dance, has seven studios equipped for dance classes, and is attended by about two hundred students.
