Daniel Drexler is a Uruguayan musician and composer, recognised by the public and the press in Latin America as one of the main artists of his generation. Throughout his 20-year career, he has been honoured with numerous national and international awards and recognitions. His work includes nine albums and a book where he analyses the creative processes of his compositions. With one foot in his regional roots and the other in the world, he moves through pop music with influences from urban and rural folk genres from the Rio de la Plata. His lyrics explore the world of poetry, as well as science and philosophy.

His work is marked by the creation of different sound, conceptual and geographic universes, where borders are liquid. In Vacío (2006), he delved into existential doubts and combined Uruguayan music with pop music. With Micromundo (2010), he explored parallel universes and the macro and micro dialectic, the idea that the large contains the small and the small imitates the large. In Mar Abierto, he used Miles Davis’ classic album “Kind of Blue” and Bauman’s “Liquid Modernity” as creative references. In Uno (2017), he explored the idea that we are multiple and unique at the same time. In La voz de la diosa Entropía (2022), fascinated by the scientific and philosophical concept that the world tends towards disorder, the artist personifies the well-known law of physics in a feminine and sacred figure, which inspired the existential character of the project.

In 2026, Daniel Drexler will release his tenth studio album

ALBUM & TOUR: DANIEL DREXLER – LA VOZ DE LA DIOSA ENTROPÍA

La voz de la Diosa Entropía, Daniel Drexler’s ninth album, is a collection of unreleased songs in which the Uruguayan artist moves between the rhythms of the Rio de la Plata and pop, between calm and chaos, between human relationships and metaphysics. Throughout eight sensitive compositions, ranging from candombe to reggae, pop, minimalism and orchestral arrangements, Drexler moves naturally from dance rhythms to existential questions.

The album features special guest appearances by Kevin Johansen and Brazilian Vitor Ramil. The album won the Graffiti Award in the category “Best Pop Single of the Year” for the song “La voz de la Diosa Entropía” (feat. Kevin Johansen)”.

On the self-titled tour, the Uruguayan artist combines music and theatre under the stage direction of Abril Pereyra, in an epic confrontation between chaos and order. The songs and texts serve as the show’s guiding thread, taking the audience on a journey that explores the extremes of love and heartbreak, from serenity to chaos, from dance to metaphysics. Since its debut in 2022, this new show by Drexler has already been performed in more than 40 cities in Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, visiting the main locations in these three countries. In 2024, Daniel Drexler began the album’s closing tour, a show in which he performs “naked” in front of the audience, armed only with his guitar. The farewell tour began in April 2024, with performances in Brazil (two nights at Sesc Pompeia/São Paulo, Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, and Foz do Iguaçu) and in Argentina (Buenos Aires, Rafaela, Córdoba and General Belgrano), filling theatres in both countries.
