Last Thursday, Daniela Mercury gave a memorable concert that got the audience excited in the Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril.
On a night celebrating Brazilian music, the “Queen of Axé” performed countless hits of her career, such as “Pérola Negra”, “À Primeira Vista” and “Rapunzel”.
It was with the Salão Preto e Prata packed that Daniela Mercury once again demonstrated all her energy and magnetism on stage, captivating the audience with axé and influences of samba-reggae, as well as other Afro-Latin sounds.
“Axé Salvador”, “Me Dê”, “Topo do Mundo”, “Swing da Cor”, “Minas com Bahia”, “Balanço do Mar”, “Feijão de Corda” Soteropolitanamente” and “Banzeiro” were some of the songs that stood out in a show full of colour, dance, creativity, irreverence and lots of joy.
The highlight of the show came when Daniela Mercury invited David Carreira to come on stage to perform “Nobre Vagabundo”. An unprecedented duet that won applause from the audience. “I invited a Portuguese guy who told me he knows how to dance. He is a wonderful Portuguese singer”, said the artist.
Daniela Mercury also returned to the stage to say goodbye to the audience with several encores, with highlights including the performances of “Malhão”, in homage to Amália Rodrigues; “Proibido o Carnaval” and “O Canto da Cidade”.
