Daniela Ruah and Joaquim de Almeida are the ambassadors of the Tribeca Festival Lisbon
The organisation also introduced Patrícia Vasconcelos, Rui Pedro Tendinha and Joana Beleza as curators of the festival and took the opportunity to explain the new ticketing strategy, with a greater variety of tickets and more affordable prices.
The Tribeca Festival Lisbon revealed today, at an event held at TUMO Lisboa, at the Unicorn Factory, the new faces, the event’s new ticketing strategy and news regarding the list of partners supporting the festival.
Actress and director Daniela Ruah and actor Joaquim de Almeida were announced as the new ambassadors of the Tribeca Festival Lisbon, reinforcing the event’s mission as a global storytelling platform with a Portuguese soul.
For Daniela Ruah, “being part of the new edition of the Tribeca Festival Lisboa is an experience that is as challenging as it is inspiring. This is a festival that not only celebrates cinema and the arts but also opens up space for relevant conversations and emerging perspectives. This is what we need in Portugal: platforms that connect creators, ideas and new perspectives to the rest of the world.”
Joaquim de Almeida added: “The Tribeca Festival Lisboa is a unique opportunity to bring Portugal closer to the world and to give a stage to voices that are yet to be discovered. It is a privilege to be part of a festival that believes in the transformative power of storytelling and that wants to challenge the industry to look further — and more deeply.”
They are joining them as curators in the areas of conversations, films and live podcasts, respectively:
- Patrícia Vasconcelos, casting director and founder of the Passaporte Lisboa project
- Rui Pedro Tendinha, journalist and film critic
- Joana Beleza, journalist and Deputy Director of Audio and Multimedia at Grupo Impresa
The announcement was made during a panel discussion, led by Júlia Palha, under the motto “Can storytelling change the world?”, which brought together the event’s ambassadors, curators and partners to reflect on the transformative power of stories, the importance of diverse voices and the role of creatives in 2025.
As for the ticketing strategy, this year there will be 5 types of tickets, with prices ranging from €15 to €255, namely:

- The Tribeca Talks & Podcasts Daily Pass, with an RRP of €45, will give access to all stages with live talks and podcast recordings on one of the 3 days of the festival to choose from. This will be the ticket for those who do not want to watch films, but for everything else the Festival has to offer;

Another highlight was the renewal of support from Turismo de Portugal and MEO for the event, as well as the announcement of BETCLIC as the new Official Sponsor of the Festival, joining the Lisbon City Council, Turismo de Lisboa, Toyota and Vilamoura.
During the event, Mónica Serrano, Marketing and Communications Director of Grupo Impresa, explained that TUMO Lisboa will become one of the festival’s official stages, under the name The Auditorium, reinforcing Tribeca Festival Lisboa’s commitment to young people, as TUMO is a creative technology school with free access for young people between the ages of 12 and 18.
