Daria Bilodid is the world champion of judo for the second time

Ukrainian Sporting athlete Daria Bilodid has been crowned world champion of 48 kg for the second time, defending the title at the World Cups in Tokyo.

At the age of 18, Bilodid was already the newest world champion in the history of judo, now achieving a new feat in Tokyo, a year from the Olympics that will also take place in the Japanese capital.

Now Sporting’s athlete is also the newest two-time champion after beating Japan’s Funa Tonaki, world champion in 2017, in the final.
