Dave Clarke and Oscar Mulero confirmed at Forte festival

Dave Clarke, known as the “Techno Baron”, and Spanish Oscar Mulero will attend the Forte electronic music festival, which will take place from August 22 to 25 in Montemor-o-Velho.

The organization of the festival announced today, in a press release, the first confirmed names for the 6th edition of the Forte festival, which will take place in the Montemor-o-Velho Castle, in the district of Coimbra.

Dave Clarke, 50, is a British DJ, producer, and broadcaster, nicknamed by BBC’s John Peel as the ‘Techno Baron’, referring to the organization of the festival.

Over the past few decades, he has released several singles and albums, remixed projects such as The Chemical Brothers, New Order, and Underworld, with the album “World Service Vol 1.” was considered by Resident Advisor Magazine as the 9th best mix album in the 2000s.

For Montemor-o-Velho, he brings with him his latest work ‘The Desecration of Desire’, released in 2017, after a 14-year interlude in the long-running album edition.

In the electronic music festival, the Spanish producer Oscar Mulero, who started editing at the turn of the century, will also be present, being the founder of The Omem Club in Madrid and responsible for the publishers Warm Up and Pole.

According to the Forte press release, the opening show will be in charge of Mexican Murcof and French visual artist Malo Lacroix.

For the festival, the names of Anthony Linell aka Abdulla Rashim, Boston 168, Chrstinne, Forest Drive West, Freddy K, Kr! Z, Neon Chambers (Sigha & Kangding Ray), Phase Fatale, Polar Inertia, Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly) and TR-101 (Sleeparchive & Dj Pete).

According to the organization, the festival works together with the University of Coimbra on an “adventure of discoveries of the creative code, which will culminate in an abundant dialogue between the walls of the Castle of Montemor-o-Velho.”

The organization also stresses that the promotion of ecological measures “remain central to the concerns of the festival.”

At the moment, there is a limited edition of one thousand tickets for every day of the event for sale for 100 euros, with camping included, and the normal ticket price at the door will be 160 euros.

The capacity of the festival is limited to 5000 people per day.
