David Grachat and Susana Veiga finished 10th and 12th at the Paralympic Games
The Portuguese David Grachat and Susana Veiga missed the finals of the 400 meters freestyle S9 and 50 meters freestyle S10, respectively, of the Paralympic Games that are taking place in Tokyo.
Grachat finished qualifying with the 10th best time, 4.27.96 minutes, just over a second behind Polish Igor Hrehorowicz (4.26.13) who finished in eighth place, the last one who gave access to the final.
Australian Alexander Tuckfield (4.14.26 minutes) was the fastest overall in the qualifiers.
Susana Veiga recorded the 12th time of the qualifiers at the Aquatic Center in Tokyo, with 29.61 seconds, short of the best personal mark (28.85) achieved at the European Championships played in Funchal, in May.
Anastasiia Gontar, athlete of the Russian Olympic Committee, achieved the best time in the qualifiers, with 27.48 seconds.
