Dean Lewis releases new single, “Rest”, featuring Sasha Alex Sloan
Song taken from the new album The Epilogue, available in October
Dean Lewis presents us with another song from his third studio album, The Epilogue, which will be released on October 18th. Dean Lewis, a true international superstar, teamed up with American singer/songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan to release this love song, “Rest”.
“Rest”, the new single from The Epilogue, is now available. The release of the LP will be accompanied by a world tour in support of the album, entitled “The Epilogue World Tour”.
Dean and Sasha co-wrote and recorded “Rest” in Los Angeles. Sasha says of their first meeting: “I’ve been a fan of Dean’s for a while now, so when I heard we were going to write together I was a little nervous, but the second I walked into the studio all my nervousness disappeared. We clicked instantly. This song is the first one we wrote together, and I think that day we stumbled upon some kind of magic… I’m so excited that now the world can hear it.”
“Rest” is co-produced by Dean and Colin Foote (Kygo, Why Don’t We, Cheat Codes), Alex Borel (Julia Michaels) and Petey Martin (Kygo, Kesha, Sam Feldt, Gryffin, Nicky Romero, Rob Thomas).
Known for soulful global hits like “Be Alright” and “How Do I Say Goodbye,” Dean describes “Rest” as the “first love song I ever wrote.” The official video for “Rest” features Sasha and was filmed in Nashville by Dean’s brother and longtime visual collaborator Sean Loaney.
After months of revealing new songs from The Epilogue, “Rest” continues Dean’s current single, “All I Ever Wanted,” which has already racked up over 20 million streams and reached Shazam’s Top 10. Dean also surprised fans with his recent collaboration with Australian DJ and producer CYRIL, on the song “Fall At Your Feet”, which conquered the Shazam charts, reaching number one in New Zealand and number two in Australia.
