Taste six variations of francesinha “Braga Style” at El Olivo Restaurant

From January 13th to 19th, the El Olivo Restaurant at the Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa will be the meeting point for all francesinha lovers or for those who want to try it for the first time.

“Francesinhas Week” features a special menu that celebrates the diversity and flavour of this classic Portuguese delicacy.

For a week, you can enjoy a delicious experience that, for 15.50€ per person, includes a dish and a drink of your choice, between beer, soft drink or water.

Among the proposals presented, the highlights are the Francesinha “El Olivo”, which has ham, sausage, cheddar cheese, mushrooms and olives, and the Francesinha with Flavors of the Sea, a creative version that combines shrimp, clam meat and smoked salmon. Both guarantee the classic rump steak, fried egg and francesinha sauce.

The menu also includes the Francesinha de Aves, made with chicken steak, turkey ham and cheese, and the Francesinha de Bifana em Bolo do Caco, which, as the name suggests, uses another type of meat and bread, also including ham. and cheddar cheese. These options also have the fried egg and the iconic sauce in common.

In a week dedicated to Francesinha, you can’t miss the traditional option, with rump steak, ham, sausage, fresh sausage, paio, cheese and, of course, fried egg and francesinha sauce.

Finally, there is still an alternative for those who do not eat meat – the Vegetarian Francesinha. Mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, zucchini, eggplant and the usual sauce are the stars of this dish.
