Dela Marmy, a project by Joana Sequeira Duarte, debuts live with “Captured Fantasy”, a tour of the presentation of the homonymous album; a much desired moment and a reason for a wide smile, for finally completing the natural cycle that goes from editing the record to the moment it is played live.
In this ephemeral and sometimes transcendent process, in which the audience and artist are involved, the songs recorded on the album gain a new body, new texture, vulnerability and density. A place of permanent surprise, mutation and discomfort that healthily feeds artistic research.
Captured Fantasy, the 2020 EP produced by Charlie Francis – and which features a Sonic Boom remix for the theme “Old Human” – is a little trip that asks for time. Attentive to details, small things, small stories and sensations. Watch the margins. That makes you want to dive and make you think. Intimate and universal.
Live, Dela Marmy‘s Pop Art occupies electronic environments floating between warm guitars and rippling synthesizers.
The first concert takes place in Lisbon, at Musicbox (4 November), followed by Faro, at Festival *SIGA* (19 November), Valpaços, at Auditório Arte e Cultura Luís Teixeira (27 November), Porto, at Passos Manuel (4th December) and Coimbra, at Salão Brazil (5 December).
