The Cape Verdean government announced today that the Icelandic company, Loftleidir-Icelandic, of the Icelandair Group, has submitted the final proposal for the acquisition of 51% of the share capital of Cape Verde Airlines (TACV).
According to a statement from the Cape Verdean executive, the State Business Sector Monitoring Unit (UASE) received the “final and binding proposal” for the acquisition of 51% of the capital stock of Cape Verde Airlines (TACV).
The proposal includes “some pieces and additional information, aiming at the full compliance with the requirements set out in the specifications”, required from the competitor after evaluation by the evaluation committee to the first proposal submitted.
The proposal now submitted will be re-evaluated by the evaluation commission, which is appointed jointly by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Tourism and Transport, assisted by international experts in commercial law, air transport and privatization.
