Desconcentra is a contemporary street art program, which takes place in various outdoor spaces in the municipality, and which brings multidisciplinary artistic proposals to all its parishes.
The second edition, which takes place throughout the month of July, includes projects in dance performance, dance-theatre, artistic installation and performance, physical theatre and animated forms, music, and contemporary circus.
Assessing itself as a project to decentralize the municipal cultural offer, Desconcentra represents a look at public spaces as places of cultural enjoyment, giving them new meanings, transforming them into stages for the most diverse artistic manifestations.
This year this metamorphosis will take place in the Fernão Ferro Urban Park, in the Vale de Milhaços Powder Factory, in the Quinta do Mirante Garden, in the Aldeia de Paio Pires, in the Serrado Municipal Park, in Amora, in the Maré de Corroios Mill, and also at Jardim Mártires da Liberdade and former Mundet spaces, in Seixal.

Musculus is the first solo creation of Beatriz Dias, performer at WBMotion Kulturverein (Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany) and dancer at Companhia Olga Roriz.
In this performance, the question is how to return to being a Neanderthal woman in the 21st century. It seeks the ancestral being, the ancient voice and the body’s primitive character in a place of suspension and collision with time. It incorporates the ancestral woman, returning to the origins of the female gender, to understand which behavioural elements were lost in time. This show contains full nude and will therefore be limited to persons over 16 years of age.

All families are invited to watch this solo show with a woman and several pumpkins. So… it’s not solo anymore! There is the girl, the pig, the chila, the bolina, the gourd, all different and all pumpkins.
In her kitchen, this woman lives with the pumpkins, listens to their secrets and immerses herself, discovering things she didn’t know.

Noiserv, a multi-instrumentalist who has been called “the man-orchestra” or “one-man band”, has a path marked by the composition and musical interpretation of themes that travel between memory, dream and reality.
After seven recorded records, including EP, LP and singles, and more than 500 concerts in Portuguese lands and abroad, Noiserv proposes to present an intimate concert at the Vale de Milhaços Powder Factory, visually worked in maximum harmony for that place of heritage, and that promises to leave a trail of memory for those who watch.

Planted along the riverside, ephemeral palaphytic constructions rise on the banks, illustrating houses suspended from rolled-up balconies, which tell the stories of a small migratory community, united in the incessant search for the external sign that humanity has always craved.
In an imaginary universe inspired by vernacular buildings, the Palafita is the architectural element that sets the tone for the creation of this work, which designs the material for the construction of shelters suspended between stilts and temporary bandages, which, through objects and shapes, design a port at stories of those who are passing through.

How far is it possible to be together today? Circus artists are not afraid to take risks and take full responsibility for their recklessness and undisciplined practice.
Through a circus show, two performers use aerial acrobatics as a technique to continually seek a balance between two bodies, using a loose rope with two ends 7 meters high. This rope, this impermanent and fickle thread, alters the viewer’s perception of the bodies on stage.

In the year it celebrates 35 years of activity, Teatro do Mar presents in Aldeia de Paio Pires the show Mutabilia, a creation that combines contemporary circus with physical theatre and based on an oscillating and changing scenographic structure.
It is a metaphor for the instability of our time and stimulates reflection on the importance of human relationships, as acts of freedom and expression, of construction. It also reflects, simultaneously and metaphorically, on human relationships and their symbolic parallelism in the way we build and inhabit private spaces.
