The Praia São Rafael Restaurant, located on one of the most emblematic beaches in the Algarve, reopens its doors with good food at the table, where fresh fish and seafood reigns, and a new cocktail menu, with the promise of providing a unique gastronomic experience by the sea.
With the signature of Chef Dumitru Gheorge, the menu is inspired by the rich and vast national gastronomic tradition, adapted to the concept of the restaurant itself.
For starters, the Chef proposes typical Portuguese flavours – breaded cuttlefish strips; clams à bololhão pato; sautéed shrimp; squids; tomato octopus.
For main dishes, the restaurant offers different fish options such as lobster tail risotto; Cod lagareiro; octopus à lagareiro and, of course, fresh fish from the Algarve coast. Meat proposals include sirloin steak, steak on the stone and T-Bone. The menu could not miss the famous monkfish kebabs, prawns and bacon; octopus and chorizo; empty and chicken. As a vegetarian option, a penne pasta with asparagus, sun-dried tomato, mushrooms and pesto sauce.
The menu also features other dishes for those looking for a quick but equally tasty meal, such as the São Rafael style prego, Portuguese hamburger, smoked salmon or shrimp salad.
To accompany the meal, nothing better than one of the wines on the menu, created with options from various regions of the country, or the fantastic passion fruit sangria, one of the most requested drinks at the restaurant.
