“Destinations” of Maramgoní featured at Casino Estoril
At the Art Gallery, until May 13th
The exhibition “Destinations”, created by the artist Maramgoní, continues to be highlighted at the Casino Estoril Art Gallery. With free entry, this individual painting exhibition can be visited until the 13th of May.
Maramgoní was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1972. At the age of 9, he already demonstrated an interest in drawing, with an innate ability with shapes and proportions, showing his early talent for painting. After going through several languages, he finds his favourite themes in landscapes and everyday moments.
Throughout her career, she participated in several exhibitions all over the world, both solo and group, winning important awards such as the Special Prize at the Salon de Beaux Arts in France. His art has also been recognized internationally, with works exhibited at the UN in New York, as well as participation in emblematic projects such as Caw, Elephant Parade, Heart, Rino, and Egg, among others. As one of the ambassadors of the Non-Violence project in Brazil, created by Yoko Ono and Swedish artist Carl Fredrik on the occasion of John Lennon’s death.
In 2019, he moved to Portugal in search of new challenges, where his artistic career grew exponentially, having participated in numerous group exhibitions and some solo shows, in the following locations: Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Penafiel, Lagos, Albufeira, Alfandega da Fé and Vila Nova de Gaia. Of particular note are the two solo exhibitions held at the Casino Estoril Art Gallery and an exhibition in Lagoa, at the invitation of the City Council and part of the city’s 250th-anniversary celebrations, with the presentation of 32 works and the publication of a book.
The Casino Estoril Art Gallery hosts, until the 13th of May, the painting exhibition “Destinos”, by Maramgoní. Entry is free.
