The British band performed yesterday at Casino Estoril, where they presented their new work, The Divine Feminine and recalled their best-known songs.
A concert with some staging, which told a story that was linked, with the musical mastery of Dexys, in a first part that introduced us to the latest work of the band led by Kevin Rowland.
The band, formed in 1978, has in its portfolio songs such as “Come On Eileen” and “Geno“, they became a success story with the release of Searching For The Young Soul Rebels, in the 80s, an album that was the motto for their first presence in Portugal in 1981 where they performed three concerts at Dramático de Cascais, at Pavilhão Infante de Sagres (Porto) and at Festa do Avante, which was still taking place in Alto da Ajuda.
The second part of the concert was dedicated to the band’s hits, “Plan B”, “All In All”, “Soul”, “Free” or “Come on Eileen”, with fans accompanying them, remembering these mythical themes from the English band, who released all their energy on stage.
The concert, signed by Amazing Events, ends with “Geno” and “Carrickfergus”, a night to remember this fantastic band.
