Diogo Piçarra releases his fourth studio album, SNTMNTL, next Friday, March 1st.
The day before, and a few hours before arriving on all digital platforms, the artist will give a showcase from the clean chamber of the associated laboratory, CENIMAT|i3N-FCT NOVA, a space for research and development of advanced materials and nanotechnologies for applications in electronics and energy, using sustainable materials and technologies.
A clean room is a laboratory where the environment is controlled, in a facility specially designed to minimize contamination from particles, dust, chemical vapours and other contaminants in the air. This scenario, unprecedented for a showcase, illustrates the close relationship with technology and the evocation of the importance of feelings in our era that Diogo Piçarra wants to highlight with this long film and which was evident in the SNTMNTL Manifesto that he shared.
Thus, the artist accompanied by his band will present some of SNTMNTL’s new songs. The showcase will be broadcast live on the artist’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, on Thursday, February 29th, from 7 pm.
SNTMNTL, Diogo Piçarra’s 4th album, is released 4 years after “South Side Boy”, features 4 collaborations with guest artists and will be presented on a day that only happens every 4 years, February 29th. All this symbolism takes us to the 4th season of the career of one of the most acclaimed national artists, a number that we will certainly continue to see throughout the year.
For this long-lasting record, Diogo Piçarra brought together 4 special guests: Pedro Abrunhosa, his friend and mentor, in “Amor de Ferro”, a single that came out a week before the album and quickly became trending on YouTube and in the Spotify Top200; One of the most interesting voices of the new generation, Jüra in “sabesamar”; the young Spanish singer, Sofia Martín in “Paraquedas” and Bispo in “Monarquia”, one of Diogo Piçarra’s greatest hits that deserved to be on an album. In addition to the collaborations, the record also brings together previously released songs such as “Sorriso”; “Emergency Exit”; “Your”; “I Don’t Hate You” and “Monarchy”. SNTMNTL has 8 new songs and the lineup is:

The album will be available next Friday, March 1st, on all digital platforms and will have a physical edition, on CD, which will be available in stores on March 15th. Diogo Piçarra will present this new album on stage, for the first time, at Super Bock Arena on April 13th and at Sagres Campo Pequeno on April 20th.
