Diogo Silva wins the 5th ESC Online Pool Masters Português
A 5-1 win in the final against Bruno Fumega (Boavista) earned Diogo Silva (New Academy, Matosinhos)) the victory in the 5th ESC Online Masters of Portuguese Pool (PT), which took place on Saturday 3rd of this month, on the premises of CCR Outeiro de Baixo (Anadia).
After five competitions, João Grilo (P. Ferreira), champion in 2020 (by Sporting, at the time) and winner of the 2nd and 4th Masters of this 3rd National Pool Masters Circuit PT – organized by the Portuguese Billiard Federation and which includes a total of seven tests – it leads the ranking highlighted, with 2150 points.
With two Masters to be held in 2021, João Moura (Monumental Academy, Coimbra) in second place with 1950, while in third place came Manuel Pereira (Académica de Coimbra) and Américo Francisco (P. Ferreira), with 1900 points.
Note that the circuit winner’s club will receive €2,000, and the ‘vice‘’s €1200.
On the way to the final of this 5th ESC Online Masters Pool PT, Diogo Silva, included in Serie 2 of qualifying, began by triumphing against Manuel Pereira (Académica) and Tomás Ribeiro (Dynamic Pool Academy, Braga), always in the black ‘ (4-3).
Already in the knockout stage, and until reaching the final, Diogo Silva left João Sousa (Boavista) in the quarter-finals with a 5-3 victory, while in the semi-finals he overcame the Algarve’s Jorge Tinoco (P. Ferreira ) by clarifiers 5-2.
The 3rd National Circuit of PT Pool Masters will continue with the 6th ESC Online PT Pool Masters, on the 17th of this month, in Anadia, with the 7th and final Masters scheduled for the following day, 18 July .
