“One Trick Pony” is the first single from Dirty Coltrane Volume I and II, in addition to being the theme that opens the new album. In this theme the band once again assumes its taste for garage punk simplicity and expresses it in this love letter which is the theme: “I’m a trick pony with a broken leg”.
That is, although the band is not square by ear or in the creations, it comes to affirm at the top of its lungs: “We are self-taught with limits in our musical knowledge and we make whole themes with a chord and rhythms of the custom” alongside one “and we love it “.
It is a love letter to the Ramones, the Dead Moon, the Cramps, the Half Japanese, like so many other letters that are read between the lines of the band’s previous themes in search of their new sound but always with the foot in the past to drive the new jump in the dark.
After a double album full of guests, Portuguese Freakshow, and a trio album recorded “live in the studio” in Brazil, Primitive, Dirty Coal Train shuffle cards and give again.
To start, they sign the new album as Dirty Coltrane, just as they did at the beginning of the band, they return to this signature in the year that they celebrate 10 years of project. Then it seems that they reduced the guests in the recordings to center much of the instrumentation on the duo Ricardo and Beatriz.
They spread the songs of Dirty Coltrane Volume I and II through a vinyl LP + CD edition or a limited vinyl LP + cassette edition.
