Disney+ exceeds 100 million subscribers
Disney+ reached the North American market on November 12, 2019, and in the meantime, the streaming service has extended to other countries, such as Portugal, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and, more recently, Singapore.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he platform also offers several exclusive series, such as The Mandalorian (from the Star Wars universe) and, more recently, Wandavision (from the Marvel cinematic universe), and films such as Soul (produced by Disney) and Pixar).
“The huge success of Disney+, which has exceeded 100 million subscribers, has inspired us to be even more ambitious, and to significantly increase our investment in producing high quality content,” said The Walt Disney Company’s chief executive, Bob Chapek, during the annual presentation with the company’s shareholders, quoted in a statement sent to newsrooms.
