Dita Von Teese in Portugal for Glamonatrix tour
Dita Von Teese brings her new tour, Glamonatrix, to Portugal.
A true icon of the most alternative visual culture, Von Teese has gained popularity through a series of works in the fields of music, video, and theater, asserting freedom and sensuality all of its own.
Counting fans like Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, or Sir Elton John, Dita Von Teese is, in fact, a renowned international artist.
Her new show includes fabulous wardrobes from designers and cult brands such as Mister Pearl, Jenny Packham, Alexis Mabille, Catherine D’Lish, Brooke Brothers, and more.
The shoes, a show on its own, are Christian Louboutin’s bespoke creations. And in this show, covered in Swarovsky crystals, Von Teese reimagines the classic number of “surprise cake”, fetish dreams for John Willie and all about electronic remixes of music from his album by top names like Sebastien Tellier, Andrew Armstrong or Monarchy. On stage next to her will be Dirty Martini and Zelia Rose.
“Glamour”, explains Von Teese, “is the art of creating mystery and seduction and the new show Glamonatrix embraces all these qualities.”
With an inclusive cast composed of men, women and people of fluid gender, this is a show that asserts itself as body-positive and celebratory at all levels.
