The International DJ Association will award the prize at the final of the World DJ Championship in Poland on December 2nd.
Dj Ride has just been awarded the IDA Party Rocking World Champion award in 2023, a new category of the International DJ Association recently created with a greater focus on the area of clubbing with scratch/turntablism techniques and in which one of the objectives It is a mix of various musical styles, from electronic to hip hop, rock and drum & bass.
This is the first solo world title won by Ride, in addition to the two other titles he won in the Show category together with Stereossauro, with the duo Beatbombers, in 2011 and 2016.
DJ Ride has had a prolific career spanning over a decade, marked by creativity and virtuosity, not only as a DJ but also as a producer and sound engineer. From the turntablism duo Beatbombers he shares with Stereossauro, to several solo releases, DJ battles and national and international tours.
Recently, he has collaborated with some of the biggest labels on the planet, such as the VISION label from the Dutch NOISIA, the NINJA TUNE Productions label (with DJ Kentaro), SABLE VALLEY, Slow Roast (with DJ CRAZE), Deadbeats and many others. His tracks have been played by some of the biggest international artists such as Skrillex, NOISIA, Amon Tobin, RL Grime, Dj Shadow, BAAUER, Dillon Francis, Black Sun Empire, among others and his tracks have received airplay on radio stations such as BBC1, thus embarking on a path of international prominence.
The quality of his productions and live performances gave him the opportunity to play in very different places, from underground clubs to large festivals all over the world: from Lisbon to Tokyo, London, China, Budapest, Poland, Serbia, New York, Brazil, and many other countries.
All of this makes Ride one of the most respected DJs today and a name synonymous with talent and innovation, both in the studio and live. These qualities certainly contributed to the award that will be given to him on December 2nd, at the final of the IDA World Championship 2023, in Poland.
