On June 19th, at 9 pm, the Estoril Casino Auditorium will premiere a short series of performances of the play “Do Outro Lado do Muro”, which is supported by the Salvador Association.
Ricardo Carriço, Rita Ribeiro and Baltasar Marçal star in this play that offers a realistic, sensitive, and sometimes even humorous look at the inclusion of people with physical disabilities.
With text and direction by Tiago Torres da Silva, “Do Outro Lado do Muro” tells the story of Rodrigo, a singer at the height of his career, whose life changes drastically after an unexpected accident on stage.
Confronted with a new reality, that of a motor disability, Rodrigo embarks on a journey of self-discovery, revisiting the young dreamer he once was. Between memories and challenges, the play reveals human transformation in the face of adversity, in an exercise of reconnecting with oneself.
His mother is Rodrigo’s main support in this unexpected journey, being his confidant, caregiver and friend, torn between strength and fragility.
