Documentary “Os Herdeiros do Bairro” wins international awards

The documentary “Os Herdeiros do Bairro”, a touching look at the inhabitants of Bairro 6 de Maio, in Amadora, Portugal won the Excellence DOCS Awards of Excellence and Merit Award of 2020, a competition that is part of the Global Film Awards ( GFA) in the U.S.

This documentary tells the story of this neighborhood in the municipality of Amadora, in Portugal, which saw the birth of the first shack in 1994, and which has already undergone several phases of relocation of its population, mostly Cape Verdean.
