This is the second consecutive year that Living Tours’ program, which explores the Douro region, has been recognised as one of the “Best of the Best” activities, the highest distinction awarded by the TripAdvisor travel community.
Designed by Living Tours, one of Portugal’s largest tour operators, the Douro Valley Historical and Wine Tour has once again earned the “Best of the Best” seal from the 2025 Travellers’ Choice Awards. This is TripAdvisor’s highest distinction, which prioritises a single criterion in this award: the quantity and quality of real testimonials and positive reviews published on the platform by the travel community from around the world.
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Douro Valley thus secures its position in 3rd place in the national ranking and 22nd place in the list of best activities internationally. The highlight is the validation of a program that has become one of the most sought-after experiences for those visiting northern Portugal through the tour operator, combining natural landscapes, gastronomic experiences, and the sharing of facts about Portuguese history and culture.
