Summer CEmp brings together 40 young people and 73 speakers to discuss Europe during the next four days in Évora district.
The third edition of Summer CEmp, an initiative of the European Commission representation in Portugal, will bring together 40 young people and 73 speakers to discuss Europe over the next four days in Monsaraz, Évora district.
“Stop, listen and look” at Europe is what the initiative, which starts on Tuesday and lasts until Friday and is supported by Monsaraz City Council.
Preferred for students of journalism, communication science, political science or international relations, between 18 and 30 years old, the initiative received 160 candidates, from which 40 were selected.
The third edition program, which takes place in the medieval village of Monsaraz, opens with a session with the Minister of Finance and Eurogroup President Mário Centeno.
Speakers include two European Commissioners, Portuguese Carlos Moedas and British Julian King, MEPs Marisa Matias, Lidia Pereira and Francisco Guerreiro.
Among them are also two ministers and a secretary of state, Deputies Pedro Mota Soares and Duarte Marques, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Fernando Frutuoso de Melo, the European Union Ambassador to the United Nations, João Vale de Almeida, among others.
