GRAMMY®-winning progressive music titans Dream Theater have just announced their 40th Anniversary Tour 2024 – 2025, set to take place at MEO Arena on November 16th.
Tickets will be available on April 12th, this Friday, at 9am, at the usual locations and at everythingisnew.pt.

The tour – presented as An Evening With Dream Theater – is the first since drummer Mike Portnoy returned to the lineup, joining vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung, guitarist John Petrucci, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess. The European tour will pass through 23 cities between October 20th and November 24th, where the group will be performing great classics and fan-favourite songs, on an unforgettable night.
“This tour will be incredibly special for all of us! Each show will be filled with anticipation and a range of emotions. We can’t wait to step on stage together again and begin this historic 40th-anniversary celebration with everyone this fall. This is just the beginning, and we will have many more exciting news to share in the coming months,” explains Dream Theater.

In 2009, Black Clouds & Silver Linings reached #6 on the Billboard Top 200, while A Dramatic Turn of Events (2011) and Dream Theater (2013) remained in the Top 10. In 2016, the band returned with their second concept album and also the science fiction novel of the same name, The Astonishing. In 2019, the band continued to grow their fan base when they released Distance Over Time, a critically acclaimed and commercial success. On their 15th full-length album and second studio release for, A View From The Top Of The World, the band continues to challenge themselves and push the boundaries of their music – something they have done for over 30 years together.
Dream Theater launched the inaugural DREAMSONIC tour in 2023 – a travelling progressive music show that will return for more shows in the future. In 2024, founding drummer Mike Portnoy reunited with the iconic lineup of guitarist John Petrucci, vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung and keyboardist Jordan Rudess to much fan excitement. Dream Theater is currently in the studio working on their upcoming 16th studio album and first with this lineup after 14 years.
