dstgroup will present LYRICAL Design Windows, the new brand for minimalist window frames, which starts with a €18 million investment, at BAU in Munich, the leading biennial trade fair for the architecture, building materials and systems sectors. The event will take place between the 13th and 17th of January, in Germany.
The main competitive advantage of LYRICAL windows is their high thermal performance, the best in the European market. Also noteworthy are the innovative design and aesthetics and the customization, personalization and modularity, which consists of offering products that adapt to the specific needs of each client.
With the know-how of bysteel fs, a company in the group, LYRICAL thus offers a concept of minimalist, high-performance windows, customizable, with an exclusive design and high aesthetic sense, in partnership with renowned architects, elevating them to the level of work of art and enriching any building where they are applied.
LYRICAL expects its area of operation to occur mainly in the European, American and Middle Eastern markets, with a high-end target audience, premium end consumers and prescribers such as architects and designers, expecting to reach 30 million within five years. years. The LYRICAL window is therefore one of the first two products developed within the scope of the R2U Technologies | modular system, already on the market and with an export vocation.
“Light and natural light sources are some of the most deeply explored themes in contemporary architecture, with a direct impact on quality of life and the production of emotions in those who enjoy the spaces. The window is, as a result, one of the most inspiring elements in the architect’s creative process. LYRICAL has designed a line of minimalist artworks capable of adding value to the space, supported by advanced technology and sustainability values, divided into two series: LYRICAL MUSE and the evolutionary LYRICAL ODE”, explains André Gonçalves Pereira, general director of LYRICAL.
The head of the new brand of the dstgroup universe of companies further concluded that “the modular approach of the LYRICAL system offers almost infinite flexibility, with high-quality hybrid components such as exclusive and customized thermal and insulation profiles. GRP (fibreglass) or PA66 GF25 (polyamide) guarantee excellent thermal insulation and very high levels of mechanical robustness, also allowing for a multitude of configurations. Its smooth rails, where the panels glide effortlessly, and slim central mullion profiles, ensure that each element is designed to offer superior performance and aesthetics.”
It is also worth noting that LYRICAL’s line of aluminium profiles offers additional solutions, such as an optional integrated drainage system, ensuring maximum watertightness performance. With a special focus on thermal efficiency, LYRICAL systems are ideal for cold climates, while still ensuring effectiveness and performance in hot, humid or windy climates.
LYRICAL’s production unit, measuring approximately 10,000 m², is designed and organized efficiently to optimize production flow and minimize waste and inefficiency throughout the production chain, from receipt to dispatch of processed material. It is located on the dstgroup campus in Braga, and its architectural design was carried out by Pritzker Eduardo Souto Moura. By the end of 2025, it expects to hire 75 workers and double that number by 2030.
