Double New Year’s Eve program at Casino Estoril

Casino Estoril is committed to a double New Year’s Eve program to celebrate the arrival of 2023. Matias Damásio is the protagonist in the Salão Preto e Prata, while Polo Norte and Wanda Stuart are the main characters in Lounge D. The festive atmosphere of New Year’s Eve lasts, thus, until dawn, in the two spaces of Casino Estoril.

Salão Preto e Prata – Concert by Matias Damásio
Matias Damásio welcomes the New Year with a special concert at Salão Preto e Prata. Angolan musician and composer popularly known for his romantic style, Matias Damásio celebrates the first minutes of 2023 with the best themes that marked different eras of his artistic path.

With a unique career, Matias Damásio has released six albums. In 2005, “Vitória” was the first album, having been distinguished with several awards in Angola such as Best Male Voice and Best Music. He recorded, in 2008, the second CD “Amor e Festa na Lixeira”, winning a Gold Disc. He released, in 2012, the third album “Por Angola”, collecting several awards. “Por Amor” followed in 2015, the fourth album of originals allusive to the 10-year career. In 2018, it was the turn of “Augusta”, which soon became number 1 in the Top Sales in Portugal. In 2020, he released the new EP “Viver, Amar & Dançar”, in which the themes “Luz” and “Minha Pessoa” stood out.

The entertainment program begins at 21:00, with the Orchestra conducted by Maestro Nuno Feist. With a versatile record, Companhia Feist (which includes Henrique Feist, Mariana Pacheco, Diogo Leite, and Valter Mira) will be starring, still in 2022, in a show full of animation. It is a special performance that culminates precisely with the midnight celebration. Already in 2023, Companhia Feist concludes this show designed exclusively for New Year’s Eve. After Matias Damásio’s concert, DJ M80 (Francisco Gil) invites the public to follow a revivalist set with video projections, extending the animation into the night.

New Year’s Eve at Salão Preta e Prata:

• 20:30 – Welcome Drink in the hall of the Salão Preto e Prata
• 21:00 – Dinner and musical entertainment with the Orchestra conducted by Maestro Nuno Feist
• 23:30 – Midnight show and celebration with the Feist Company
• 00h30 – Concert by Matias Damásio
• 02h00 – Animation with DJ M80 (Francisco Gil) accompanied by video projection

The program begins at 8.30 pm with a Welcome Drink, followed by dinner at the Salão Preto e Prata at 9 pm. At midnight, the arrival of 2023 will be celebrated with champagne and “Good Year Raisins”. Around two o’clock, supper will be served and, at 3:30 am, hot chocolate and churros will be served.

The recommended attire for this evening is a tuxedo. The price is €350 per person.

Lounge D – North Pole concert and Wanda Stuart show
With a different proposal, Casino Estoril invites its visitors to celebrate the arrival of 2023, with a concert by Polo Norte, a special show by Wanda Stuart and the best sets by DJ Nuno Costa. Admission is free.

North Pole
On New Year’s Eve, Polo Norte guarantees the best Portuguese music at Lounge D. Miguel Gameiro and his band promise to revisit “Aprender a Ser Feliz”, “Grito” or “Dá-me um Abraço”, among other compositions that marked an era of national music.

In 2023, Miguel Gameiro joins Polo Norte permanently to tour the country from north to south and offer fans 27 years of success. Casino Estoril will mark this reunion, with a great end-of-year concert.

Wanda Stuart
With her unmistakable voice, Wanda Stuart will be accompanied by her band at Lounge D. The artist mentions, in a preview of her performance: “the audience will be able to remember timeless songs in Smooth style that, for sure, will transport you to a refined and full environment. of glamour. New Year’s Eve will be held to the sound of lively themes, inviting everyone to sing and dance to the rhythm of songs that are well known to all of us”, underlines the artist.

“It will undoubtedly be a very fun night and that will set the tone for the Year 2023 full of joy and happiness, as we deserve. Let’s start the Year off on the right foot, with the best of companies in the biggest and best Casino of Europe!“, stresses Wanda Stuart.

DJ Nuno Costa
For his part, DJ Nuno Costa appears at Lounge D to select his best sets that “travel through time”, playing classics mixed with the latest sounds of Dance Music.

The program at Lounge D starts at 9 pm with DJ Nuno Costa, followed by Wanda Stuart at 9:45 pm. The artist and her band present a special show that culminates in the midnight celebration. After the long-awaited concert by Polo Norte, DJ Nuno Costa returns to keep the party going well into the night.
